Private Duty Care
Do you need care for a loved one in your home?
Private duty nursing (PDN) is a form of long or short-term skilled nursing care provided in the comfort of a patient’s home. PDN services can include tasks such as ventilator and tracheostomy care, G-tube management, TPN infusion, diabetes management, wound care and medication administration.

So how is PDN paid for?
1. Private Insurance: Many major insurance companies cover private duty nursing either on an ongoing basis or for a specific period. To determine if your insurance plan covers PDN, consult your insurance documents or speak with a representative.

2. Long-Term Care Insurance: Some long-term care insurance policies or life insurance policies with long-term care riders may cover private duty nursing.

3. Medicaid: The joint federal and state program, is another common way to pay for PDN care. Medicaid assists lower-income individuals with healthcare costs, including private duty nursing services. If you or your loved one qualifies for Medicaid, it can be a valuable resource.

4. Cash: We can also bill individuals directly that can afford to pay privately.
